Daniel Onori

Daniel Onori received in 2012 the M.S. degree cum laude in Electronic Engineering from the University of Roma Tre, Italy, defending the thesis “Design of a feedback control system for the compensation of the phase fluctuations of a radar signal transmitted over a fiber optic delay line”. Still in 2012 he was with Selex SI S.p.A. (now Selex ES S.p.A.), a Finmeccanica S.p.A. company in Rome, for a nine-months internship. In 2013 he joined the CNIT National Laboratory of Photonic Networks (CNIT-LNRF) in Pisa for ten months. In November of the same year he started the three years International Ph.D. Programme in "Emerging Digital Technologies - Photonics technologies" at the Institute of Communication, Information, and Perception Technologies (TeCIP Institute) of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa.
His research activities are focused on microwave photonics and fiber optic transmissions, with particular interest in RF and optical systems (Radio over Fiber) oriented to radar signal processing and antenna calibrations, photonic assisted transceivers for radar and lidar applications, photonic systems for Electronic Spectrum Measurement.
